The Municipality of The Hague aims to establish a direct international train connection between The Hague and Brussels. This market consultation seeks input from the market to assess the feasibility of this ambition and determine the next steps in the process. It will identify interested parties in operating this connection and under what conditions. The municipality will publicly share available information about this initiative to provide interested parties with insight into the background of the market consultation. Based on the responses, discussions will be scheduled with the parties that responded to the market consultation for a more in-depth discussion. These discussions will take place in the fourth quarter of 2026 and the first quarter of 2027. A draft report of the discussion will be presented to the participants. After the market consultation is completed, the Municipality of The Hague will prepare a report that will be shared with all participants.
