Scope : To Construct World Trade Center (WTC) Tower at Infopark Kochi, Kerala
Brigade Group has announced plans to develop a third tower of the World Trade Center (WTC) at Infopark Kochi. Recently, the company signed a land lease agreement during a ceremony attended by several dignitaries, including Pinarayi Vijayan, chief minister of Kerala; P Rajeeve, minister for law, industries, and coir; Dr Rathan U Kelkar, state IT secretary; Susanth Kurunthil, CEO of Kochi Infopark; M R Jaishankar, executive chairman of Brigade Group; Nirupa Shankar, joint managing director of Brigade Group; and other Infopark officials.
The Rs 150-crore project will be developed by Brigade Group. The new tower will be 16 storeys high with a car-park of six decks; it will come up on the non-SEZ plot with a built-up space of 2.6 lakh sq-ft. This new tower of WTC will generate around 2700 direct jobs and the project is expected to complete in three years.
The coming up of the third tower of WTC will augment the development of not just Infopark, but the entire IT sector in the state.
