Project Summary
Good regulatory practices (GRPs) enhance transparency, improve regulatory quality, and minimize trade and investment disruptions. GRPs have long been a priority for APEC, with the SCSC and the Economic Committee driving practical approaches to promote efficient regulatory systems. APEC policymakers continue to look at ways to improve transparency and predictability throughout the regulatory development process. Anchored in APECβs Blueprint for Advancing Good Regulatory Practices in the APEC Region, this project provides an opportunity for APEC economies to learn from one another and deepen their understanding of specific GRPs and their practical application. Through a one-day workshop, this project will strengthen cooperation, improve regulatory outcomes, and help prevent unnecessary obstacles to trade.
