Project Purpose: Prepare concept plan for wetland/water quality improvements for Salt Creek near the Willow Bend Apartments. This work is required for the City to remain in compliance with the Clean Water Act and the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permitting requirements per the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA). 50% - 60% grant funding for construction would be needed for this project to move forward. Following completion of this work, this will be a recurring annual maintenance expense. This is a multi-year project that will include the development of a long-term maintenance plan. Once the program is established, the costs should be reflected in the operating budget at a cost of approximately $2,500 every two or three years depending on need
