Weranso Solar PV Park is a 150MW solar PV power project. It is planned in Afar, Ethiopia
The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE) has secured financing from the African Development Bank for the Ethiopia Djibouti Second Power Interconnection Project. Part of this funding will be allocated to consultancy services for feasibility studies for the Utility-Scale Weranso Solar PV Project. The project construction is expected to commence from 2025. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2027.
