Europe needs a stronger position in the global semiconductor value chain, but its fabless innovators, which design semiconductor chips but do not manufacture them, lack a coordinated and sustained support structure. The EU-funded VOICES project is setting up a coordination and support action to build a permanent European fabless semiconductor association. It will bring together start-ups, SMEs, mid-caps, design houses, research institutions, innovation hubs and industry stakeholders. The initiative will create an open and inclusive platform to support collaboration, knowledge exchange and ecosystem coordination across Europe’s fabless semiconductor sector. VOICES will help strengthen Europe’s chip design capacity and turn fragmented efforts into a cohesive and competitive fabless ecosystem.
