Scope of Work Vancouver International Airport Expansion.DescriptionDemolition site work new construction remodeling and addition to a mixed-use development in Richmond British Columbia. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a road highway for the remodel of a transportation facility and transportation facility. Construction of expansions and upgrades to Vancouver International Airport which may include new terminals a new runway new roads and associated infrastructure. Vancouver international airport masterplan Titled YVR 2037 Master Plan expansion work aims to meet transportation requirements over the next 20 years. The 20-year masterplan was approved by the Federal Transport Ministry of Canada in September 2018. Vancouver International Airport Authority will carry out 75 major developments by investing approximately 9.1bn. YVR 2037 primarily focuses on the optimal use of available land development of airside airspace terminal and community amenities and protecting the environment.Vancouver International Airport terminal expansion and runway improvement Vancouver International Airports terminal is being expanded to add new amenities as part of the expansion which is the biggest to be carried out at the airport since 1996. The terminal will be equipped with four bridge gates and four remote stand operation gates. Expansion works are expected to be completed by 2020. The expansion will allow the terminal to accommodate wide-body aircraft such as Airbus A380 which has a wingspan of 260ft 79.24m. Passenger seating will be increased and other amenities such as retail spaces restaurants and an enclosed indoor forest will be added.The event marked the completion of the structural phase of the building which remains on schedule to open in 2020. This project is part of YVRs multi-billion dollar expansion programme which includes 75 projects over 20 years. Once complete the expanded terminal will include an additional eight wide-body gates including four bridged gates and four remote stand operation RSO gates. The added gates will enable the airport to support large aircraft including the A380 which has a wingspan of 260 feet. This expansion will help YVR meet growing passenger demand having welcomed a record 25.9 million passengers in 2018 better connecting British Columbians and local businesses to the world while improving the airport experience.
