📋 Tender Overview
Valorisation Of Agro-Industrial Waste To Obtain Zeolite-Based Composite Materials And Their Use In Environmental Remediation And Biofuel Production
Recycling Rice Husk Ash To Decrease Pollutionrice Is One Of The Most Important Crops Worldwide. China Is The World’S Leading Paddy Rice Producer; The Eu Also Produces Around 3 Million Tonnes/Year. Each Tonne Of Rice Can Produce Up To 20 % Of Rice Husk, Which Is Considered Agricultural Waste. It Is Mainly Disposed By Combustion, Producing Rice Husk Ash (Rha), Which Causes Respiratory Damage To Wildlife And Humans. To Increase Rice Production, The Msca-Funded Valzeo Project Aims To Recycle Rha To Produce Composite Materials (Cm) Of Hierarchical Zeolite Modified By Metal Oxide Nanoparticles And Metal-Organic Framework Materials. These Will Be Used To Remove Pollutants From Water And As Biodiesel Production Catalysts. Valzeo Will Also Emphasise The Training Of Partners In Analytical Techniques To Characterise These Cm And Foster Novel Exploitations.
