π Tender Overview
Unrevealing The Mechanisms Involved When Producing Biodiesel From Waste Oil Using A Combined Experimental And Theoretical Methodology
Biodiesel Production From Waste Oilvehicle Emissions Significantly Contribute To Climate Change And Global Warming. Biodiesel (Produced From Vegetable Oil) Has Been Considered As A Diesel Substitute. However, The Use Of Edible Oils, Required For Its Production, Gives Rise To Conflicts Within The Production Of Food Crops. This Makes It Less Attractive. Novel Technologies To Address Lower Quality Non-Edible Oils, Such As Waste Oil, Are Developed. This New Raw Material Has Been Tested Experimentally With Promising Results. Nevertheless, There Is Still A Lack Of Knowledge About This Method. The Eu-Funded Unprecedented Project Will Combine Experimental Data And Theoretical Modelling To Study And Understand The Reactive Steps Involved, And Assess The Conversion Of Waste Oil In The Production Of Biodiesel.
