Understanding The Molecular Principles Governing Mrnp Architecture
Molecular Architecture Of Eukaryotic Messenger Ribonucleoproteinseukaryotic Messenger Ribonucleoprotein (Mrnp) Particles Deliver Genetic Information To The Protein Synthesising Machinery. Currently, The Knowledge About The Composition And Structure Of Individual Mrnps And How Structural Changes Relate To Their Function Is Very Limited. The Eu-Funded Governa Project Will Purify Specific Mrnps And Dissect Their Molecular Composition And Structure. It Will Employ Genomic Tagging, Biochemistry Methods, Mass Spectrometry And Cryo-Electron Microscopy To Identify The Composition And Architecture Of Mrnps. The Project Will Focus On The 3D Organisation Of Mrnps From Well Established Model Organisms. Results Will Provide Insights Into Principles Governing The Packaging Of Mrnps And The Remodelling Of Their 3D Features Throughout A Particle’S Life Cycle.
