π Tender Overview
True demand-driven semiconductor supply chains for europe
Addressing chip shortage in the european semiconductor industrysemiconductors play a crucial role in numerous products, including refrigerators, cars, smartphones, and led bulbs. however, recent adverse events have led to significant chip shortages. in response, the eu-funded sc4eu project aims to bolster european digital sovereignty by tackling the chip shortage issue. specifically, it targets reducing the bullwhip effect in the semiconductor industry and related supply chains. the project intends to improve the accuracy of demand signals by utilising an anonymous multi-party computation (mpc) survey to gather coarse granularity data. subsequently, this survey data will be processed using semantic web via digital reference semantic model and ai tools to derive fine-grained insights. sc4eu aims to enhance semiconductor demand forecasting by obtaining high-quality, reliable data.
