Objectives
Overall aim TaSeRnet: harmonisation of proton therapy practise with a network for RTTs and dosimetrists.
Specific objectives:
- Identify best practice standards in proton therapy in Europe, including the perspectives of medical physics experts, medical physics engineers and radiation oncologists
- Use the best practices to develop clinical guidelines
- Create a sustainable life-long learning format for RTTs and dosimetrists that is built on an educational module on advanced proton therapy.
Activities
To achieve the objectives, we shall:
- Develop an exchange programme for RTTs and dosimetrists;
- Create treatment planning challenges for RTTs and dosimetrists to develop best practices;
- Organise a workshop to exchange views on best practices;
- Develop, publish and implement guidelines on best practices in proton therapy;
- Set up an advanced training programme for RTTs and dosimetrists;
- Build a web-based platform for education, TP challenges, guidelines, exchange opportunities, etc.
