Scope :
Co Thach Bien Wind Power Project is a 2,000MW offshore wind power project. It is planned in South China Sea, Binh Thuan, Vietnam. The project construction is likely to commence in 2026 and is expected to enter into commercial operation in 2030.
Description
The project is being developed by Scatec and is currently owned by HLP Investment with a stake of 100%.
The project is expected to generate 6,960,000MWh of electricity. The project cost is expected to be around $4,400m. The project will be spread over an area of 302.64km².
The wind power project consists of 200 turbines.
Development status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2026. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2030.
