Tengah Depot Tender

ScopeThe Land Transport Authority LTA of Singapore has awarded a S739.5m 543m contract to the China Railway 11 Bureau Group for the design and construction of the Tengah depot. The Tengah depot will be an integrated rail and bus depot that includes ancillary buildings and a dormitory for transport staff. The depot will be located at a 44.5ha site near Tengah New Town.It will be the 10th mass rapid transit MRT depot in the country. The depot will be used for the maintenance of 100 four-car trains and 600 buses and have other associated maintenance facilities. It will also have a dormitory for transport workers which will be a four-storey facility with a capacity to house 450 bus captains.Construction work is slated to start next year and conclude in 2026.
