📋 Tender Overview
Scope : The main objective of the TC is to strengthen the Brazilian tourism sector capabilities to adequately respond to climate change associated challenges. Its specific objectives are: (i) to support the development of principles for public policies and operational guidelines to lead and coordinate climate action between national and subnational stakeholders, (ii) to increase the sector's capabilities to climate action, mobilizing partnerships and identifying financial instruments that will allow the implementation of the guidelines developed, and (iii) to promote the identification of key-challenges for adaptation and mitigation with tourism private-sector stakeholders and support their resolution through solutions provided by the local innovation ecosystem. Knowledge dissemination activities, as events and publications, are also planned by the TC, as well as the definition of the basic framework for a future tourism climate action national policy.
