Project summary
The RESIL-KAYA project in the Centre-North and Central Plateau in Burkina Faso, in support of resilience, targets actors and communities - in particular women, young people and vulnerable groups - in the targeted territories of the Centre-North and Central Plateau. The latter face shocks, adapt and innovate by valuing their potential for inclusive, equitable and sustainable development in a peaceful climate.
The project pursues four objectives:
(1) guarantee communities and stakeholders in the territories inclusive, equitable and sustainable access to quality, flexible and innovative basic social services;
(2) provide women, youth and vulnerable groups with spaces for dialogue and conflict prevention that promote coexistence and conflict management mechanisms that strengthen social cohesion;
(3) enable communities and territorial stakeholders to take part in integrated, participatory and inclusive urban and territorial planning/management which stimulates collaboration between territorial stakeholders;
(4) to have institutional and contractual actors, civil society, and Enabel staff in Burkina Faso work on the root causes of gender inequalities.
