The APHI-GIN project in support of the National Institute of Public Health (INSP) in Guinea is part of a larger project proposed under the "Global Gateway Health Package" presented at the 6th EU-AU Summit, aimed at establishing or strengthening the performance of African public health institutes by providing training and supporting research facilities.
It pursues four distinct objectives: (1) to contribute to the health and well-being of the Guinean population (SDG 3) through the provision of multiple public health services by high-performing state health entities; (2) to establish/strengthen regional and international links between African and European public health institutes (PHIs) to develop research, training, policy advice, and advocacy; (3) to support the core functions, responsibilities, and services of schools and public health institutes; and (4) to support the strengthening of the INSP's digital health capacity
