Project description
The APHI-BDI project , implemented in support of the National Institute of Public Health (INSP) in Guinea, is part of the "Global Gateway Health Package" initiative presented at the 6th EU-AU Summit. Its objective is to strengthen the capacities of African public health institutes through training, research, and infrastructure support.
Specifically, the project contributes to improving the health and well-being of the Burundian population (SDG 3) through effective public health services; it promotes regional and international exchanges between African and European institutes to develop research, training, advocacy, and policy development; it supports the essential functions and services of schools and public health institutes in Burundi; and it supports the development of digital health capacities at the INSP.
