π Tender Overview
The European Union seeks to promote the digital transition of the Cuban public administration to contribute to the modernization of the economy and to the increase in inclusion, transparency and citizen participation in a sustainable manner.
To this end, the project aims to strengthen the use of digital tools to improve access to and quality of public services and the efficiency of public administration, with greater inclusion, transparency and citizen participation.
Following the concept of digital government, the aim is to facilitate interactions between citizens, economic actors and public administration, and, among other things, to advance the production of statistics and analysis linked to sustainable development.
In particular, the Commission will contribute to developing an appropriate legislative framework that guarantees data protection and privacy. The interoperability of public registers, the cadastral system and the Single Window for Development Cooperation will be promoted. Digital skills and culture will be strengthened, with special attention to those groups with less access, including women, young people and the elderly.
The project will also promote digital portals for public services and telecare, and will strengthen the production of public statistics sensitive to inequality, focused on promoting social and territorial equality and equity.
