PROJECT DESCRIPTION (DE)
INITIAL SITUATION
Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine have entered into the Eastern Partnership (EaP) with the European Union (EU). Part of this involves their integration into the EU's internal market. To achieve this, the countries must introduce and implement digital, sustainable, and climate-friendly logistics and transport concepts. To date, they have made little use of renewable energies and rail transport for logistics and transport, for example. Therefore, structural changes, better cooperation between all stakeholders, and more expertise among those responsible for trade routes and logistics concepts in the countries are needed.
Better coordination and cooperation among those responsible for EaP countries are also required to bring them closer together, to handle goods efficiently at borders, to improve their in-country logistics, and to harness the potential of digital trade. The countries must link their technical solutions and expand their capabilities in transport, logistics, customs, and ministries.
OBJECTIVE
In the EaP countries, cooperation between stakeholders responsible for trade routes and logistics concepts is strengthened.
