PROJECT DESCRIPTION (DE)
Background:

Sexual health, family planning freedom, and future prospects for young women in Tanzania are severely limited. This is due to frequent teenage pregnancies, a lack of contraceptives, and an increased risk of sexually transmitted infections. Access to sexual and reproductive health services is limited in many areas. Cultural norms, taboos, and gender-based power imbalances particularly hinder young women from making informed decisions. It collaborates with the Tanzanian Ministry of Health and regional and local authorities to further develop standards of care and provide training for professionals and managers. The project improves cooperation between government agencies and civil society and community-based stakeholders. Together, they aim to dismantle barriers to accessing services. Additionally, the project promotes coordination among representatives from the fields of health, education, and equality. To strengthen the self-determination of young people, the project supports information,
