Description:
Reducing wildlife crime will contribute to stronger cross border security, stability and resilience, in line with the US administration's security objectives. Activities include (1) Strengthening key national institutions with the mandate to combat wildlife crime; (2) Supporting capacity building of wildlife and law enforcement organizations to conduct anti-trafficking operations in Kenya and with counterparts in East Africa and Asia; (3) Improving coordination with port authorities, customs and border patrols, and airport authorities; (4) Promoting research capacity and information networks; and (5) Supporting critical ecosystems to advance the management of wildlife and their habitats.
