The Overall Objective (Impact) of this action is to contribute to recover the economic dynamism and environmental sustainability of the cocoa value chain in Nicaragua.The Specific Objective (Outcomes) of this action is1. To develop and transform the cocoa value chain in Nicaragua, along quality and environmental standards, with the engagement of vulnerable populations, particularly women and youth. The Outputs to be delivered by this action contributing to the corresponding Specific Objectives (Outcomes) are focus primarily on empowering economically women, youth, and indigenous communities in selected rural areas.1.1 Strengthening the organizational, business and technical capacities of small and medium cocoa producers for environmental sustainability and better productivity.1.2 Improvement and expansion of post-harvest infrastructure, transformation centres, compliance with international quality standards and market requirements. As well as enhancing capacities and technical competence on cocoa processing, knowhow on certification, market access, and the promotion of circular economy and business management principles.1.3 Product traceability and certification systems developed at smallholder producers’ level
