GE T&D India, an entity of GE Vernovaβs Electrification business in India, has secured orders from Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) to set up a State Transmission Asset Management Centre (STAMC) in Odisha, for Odisha Power Transmission Corporation (OPTCL).
The Centre would help OPTCL operate its grid more efficiently, and optimise operations through real-time grid monitoring and control. The project, which entails comprehensive turnkey solution spanning hundreds of OPTCL substations, resulting in optimal control. Once complete, the substations would be remotely controlled with advanced grid software solutions including supervisory control and data acquisiton, video monitoring system, remote accessibility system and automated fault analysis system, which will be installed at four locations across the state.
