Project Objectives
The Project aims to improve the efficiency of customs operations at Armenia's borders, including facilitating more effective and streamlined customs clearance processes. These improvements contribute to addressing circumvention risks and illicit trade, and have received strong support from the Government of the Republic of Armenia.
The Project will also provide support to the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia ("SRC") in assessing the digital maturity of customs operations and identifying transformation opportunities through the EBRD Digital Transformation Support Programme. Additionally, it will facilitate the development of a digital roadmap aligned with international best practices and Armenia's trade facilitation goals.
