Scope: To Build 150,000-square-foot Indoor Turf Venue in United States
On the heels of the Midland Soccer Clubβs announcement to launch its pre-professional women's team, Fusion Women, the club announced on May 20 it will launch a capital campaign in support of building a 150,000-square-foot indoor turf venue on its existing complex.
The construction project is budgeted at $10 million. Funding for the project will be raised through private donations, rental agreements, sponsorships, and foundation support. Construction is slated to begin in spring 2025.
They are hopeful to raise an additional $500,000 to invest into an endowment for project enhancements and maintenance.
The Midland Soccer Clubβs multipurpose facility is a community-driven project that will accommodate the growing ranks of athletes and youth recreation programs in the Great Lakes Bay Region and provide a safe, up-to-date venue where players of all levels, can train and compete, regardless of the weather.
The new facility β the first of its kind in this region β will attract thousands of year-round visitors to tournaments, academies, camps, and training.
The construction of this indoor turf venue will benefit ages 3-19 across the region, including those with mental and physical challenges. This indoor facility will help elevate all sports, not only soccer, providing an all-season venue. The indoor turf complex will also increase the profile of their Fusion Women, offering year-round training and proudly serving as their home field.
