Scope :

The objective of the Project is to improve the integrated solid waste management system in the selected cities in Peru where sanitary landfills have been constructed as part of the Solid Waste Management Project (Phase 1). Such an objective will be achieved through the closure of existing open dumping sites as well as the establishment of an adequate maintenance system, thereby contributing to improved environmental quality in the target areas in Peru. This project will contribute to the achievement of SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) Goals 11 (Sustainable cities and communities), 12 (Responsible consumption and production) and 13 (Climate action).

Planned Implementation Schedule
(1) Completion of project: October 2026 – Completion of all closure work of existing open dumping sites
(2) Issuing of letters of invitation for consulting services: August 2022
(3) Tender announcement of initial procurement package for local competitive bidding on project construction:
