π Tender Overview
Scope : To Set up Hybrid Power Plant in Gujarat
Gujarat Toolroom (GTL) has acquired 65 acres of land in Gujarat on long-term lease for setting up a hybrid power plant. Approx. 60 acres of the land acquired by GTL is to be dedicated to the installation of solar panels.
Each acre is projected to generate one MW of energy per hour, while the remaining five acres will be designated for essential power management infrastructure, including transformer stations and high-voltage line terminals. The layout plan includes provisions for 15 on-shore wind turbines, strategically positioned across every four acres of land. Each turbine is expected to produce 2.5 MW of power per hour.
Upon completion, the hybrid power plant aims to contribute 97.5 MW of clean and sustainable electricity to the grid. With the potential to power approx. 70,000 to 73,000 households, the project will empower local communities by providing access to reliable electricity.
With an estimated project cost ranging from Rs 5.72 to 6.5 billion and a projected timeline of three to five years for completion before commercial production, GTL is poised to embark on a journey towards a greener future. The hybrid power plant represents GTL's commitment to harness renewable sources for sustainable electricity generation, while contributing to mitigating climate change.
