Construction of 220-MW Solar Park in Mackenzie district.
Description:
Lodestone will partner with Haldon Station for its execution. The photovoltaic (PV) farm is set to be located within a 340-ha property in South Island’s Mackenzie district, with its construction scheduled to begin in 2025. Once up and running, the plant will be able to generate around 340 GWh of electricity annually, which will be enough to supply almost 50,000 homes. The selected site is non-productive land with top-quality solar resources, proximity to transmission infrastructure, good road access and minimal visual impact.
