π Tender Overview
Scope :
Sokode Solar PV Park is a 64MW solar PV power project. It is planned in Centrale, Togo.
The project construction is likely to commence in 2024 and is expected to enter into commercial operation in 2026.
The plant will supply clean, renewable energy to more than 700,000 people in SokodΓ© and the surrounding rural towns, who currently have limited access to electricity. More than 200 local jobs will be created during the construction and operation of the plant.
The project, which is scheduled to start construction in mid-2024, will make a direct contribution to the national ambition of guaranteeing all Togolese universal access to energy by 2030[1] (compared with 66% today, with major disparities between urban and rural areas). It will also contribute to the countryβs objective of achieving 50% renewable energy in its energy mix by 2025, bringing it up to 200 MW. It will also avoid more than 1.4 million tonnes of CO2 over the lifetime of the concession. This new project illustrates our commitment to the ecological transition, particularly in Africa, where we are already developing and operating over 500 MW of solar, hydro, wind, biomass and geothermal projects
