Location United StatesNorthrop Grumman has received a potential 82.3M contract from the U.S. Air Force to develop software for a control and planning segment designed to facilitate military satellite communications in the North Polar region. CAPS software is intended to help the service branch manage four Enhanced Polar System Recapitalization payloads orbit planning cyber architecture and out-of-band link functions the Department of Defense stated. The company will perform work in Redondo Beach Calif. through Sept. 30 2023. USAF will obligate 14.7M at the time of award from its fiscal 2019 research and development funds.
