📋 Tender Overview
The Smart Africa Digital Academy (SADA) is the capacity building and skills development division of Smart Africa, which is overseen and managed by the Smart Africa Secretariat (SAS). SADA’s main objective is to empower African citizens to reap the benefits of digital transformation.
SADA recognizes the crucial role of robust policies and regulations in enabling effective digital transformation. Therefore, it focuses on equipping policymakers and regulators with the necessary tools to design and implement digital policies and regulations that yield positive outcomes. Through collaborative efforts with the World Bank and GIZ, SADA has organized training programs and exchanges for policymakers, regulators, and their advisors, training over 3,000 experts within its target groups.
The SADA Scale-up project is the second implementation phase of the Smart Africa Digital Academy initiative from a national to a regional perspective and form part of the Western Africa Regional Digital Integration Program (WARDIP) – SOP1, a World Bank’s project which aims to advance regional integration of digital markets. The SADA component of the WARDIP-SOP1 project aims at a rapid-scaling of the Smart Africa Digital Academy (SADA) program at both regional and continental levels by leveraging on the existing SADA implementation, AReg4DT program, and developing a replicable implementation model that caters for the specific needs and the regional context.
