Scope of Work:
Construction of 1.5 GW Skåne offshore wind farm in Sweden.
Description:
The offshore wind project is qualified for a permit and has now sent the matter to the Swedish Government for a final decision. The Skåne County Administrative Board also approved the developer’s environmental impact statement for the offshore wind project despite potential issues with the views of the Swedish Armed Forces, which have been left to the Swedish Government to resolve. The project design could be modified in order to comply with the requirements of the Swedish military. Located 22 kilometres south of Ystad and Trelleborg, Skåne offshore wind farm is expected to produce seven terawatt hours of electricity annually. The 1.5 GW project is planned to be operational in 2029 and the investment cost for the wind farm is estimated to be between SEK 25-50 billion (approximately EUR 2.3 – 4.6 billion).
