Scope :

Ahead of Simhastha 2028, construction work for the Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation (MPRDC) Indore-Ujjain road is anticipated to commence soon. Although the contract with the construction agency has not yet been finalized, it is expected to be completed in the near future. A survey of the entire route will be conducted between September and October 2024.

The project will involve building six underpasses and three flyovers between Indore and Ujjain. Officials indicated that construction is planned to begin by December. The state government will allocate Rs 16.19 billion for the road development. The 46 km stretch from Indore's Aurobindo Hospital to Harifatak Bridge will be upgraded to a six-lane road.
