Scope of Work:
Construction of 50-MW Saskin wind farm in County Carlow, in the South-East Region of Ireland.
Description:
The proposed Saskin wind farm is planned to be installed near Old Leighlin, in the townlands of Seskinrea and Ridge. If built, the plant with up to seven turbines will produce electricity for more than 36,000 homes. The developer plans to file a planning application and an environmental impact assessment report for the project to Carlow County Council in late 2022 or early next year. Provided that a permit is granted, the wind farm could be commissioned by 2026.
