Digital technologies and the use of artificial intelligence (AI) are significantly changing the way we do business and work. Upheavals in the world of work require design approaches in companies that include the perspectives of various stakeholders and are based on the guiding principle of human-centered use of technology. Against this background, the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (BMAS) is supporting regional future centers nationwide as part of the ESF Plus Future Centers program in order to support, in particular, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the transformation of the world of work.
The RZzKI future center was founded in the previous funding period as part of the federal program AI Future Centers in 2021 and has since been supporting companies and their employees in the Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland region in the digital transformation and the introduction and testing of human-centered AI systems. As part of the ESF Plus Future Centers program, the RZzKI Future Center will be funded until the end of 2026. Information events, individual advice and qualifications are offered. The offers are suitable for companies that are at the beginning of their digitalization journey as well as for advanced users who are looking for a very specific solution.
By assessing the level of maturity or exploring digitalization potential, companies can use the RZzKI to gain initial access to the topic. Building on this, there are innovative qualification modules on various aspects of digitalization for different target groups such as management, specialists and employee representatives. These promote self-learning and design skills and make companies and their employees fit for change. Companies also have access to further and in-depth consulting options.
The ITA takes on the task of providing occupational science support in the Regional Future Center. Both in the development of AI or digital solutions and in the implementation process, the ITA team focuses on the needs of the users. SMEs are advised on how digital transformation processes can be organized in a participatory manner and thus increase acceptance. In addition, the ITA builds on its expertise in new forms of work and the use of digital technologies and offers support in work and organizational design, in the area of ??digital learning and in the development of tailor-made decision models.
