Scope of WorkConstruction of 364-MW La Punta Wind Farm Project in Chiles OHiggins Region.DescriptionThe power company plans to invest USD 400 million EUR 341.7m to erect 65 turbines of up to 5.6 MW. Power from the wind farm would be injected to the existing substation through a new 23-kilometre 14.3 miles transmission line according to the EIS filed with Chilean environmental evaluation service SEA.The La Punta wind farm will be located in the commune of Mostazal at altitudes ranging from 2400 metres 7874 ft to 3300 metres above sea level. The site was chosen for its strong wind speeds especially in winter and during night time the filing shows. Energy Focus plans to start building in the first half of 2023 and complete the whole project in one go instead in phases. The construction to commissioning phase would take up 39 months.
