To Build 5-GW photovoltaic (PV) cell and panel factory in the Grand Est region of France.
Description:
The EUR 700 million facility in Hambach, Moselle prefecture, is expected to employ 1,700 people and produce 10 million solar panels annually. Construction is set to begin in the second quarter, with initial production slated for 2025 and full capacity by 2027. The gigafactory, supported by EUR 3 million in grant funding from the Grand Est region, aims to supply the domestic market and export to other European countries.
