Scope : To Set up ‘Patha Saathi’ Motel Chain in Bengal
Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels plans major expansion in Bengal. The chairperson of the group Priya Paul would set up a chain of motels in the state. Besides, it is setting up a 250 Keys hotel in Kolkata in EM Byepass and opening a hotel in Digha, a popular holiday destination in Bengal. Now it has four hotels in the state including the flagship The Park.
Paul has tied up with the state government to set up motels called Patha Saathi in Bengal. According to her, it would set up such infrastructure in nine locations across the state. They have already opened the first two motels in Kurseong and Nandakumar in the last 2-3 months.
Apeejay Surrendra Park chairperson pointed out that the motels would have F&B, banquets along with rooms.
There would be 2-3 to 10-12 rooms depending on the location and the infrastructure available. The hotel would start soon. The project is a JV between Apeejay and Ambuja Neotia. Apart from the hotel, there would be a service apartment also.
