Ottawa Hospital Civic Tender

Location Ottawa The Ottawa Hospital is planning of its new multibillion-dollar Civic campus which is expected to open in 2026. The hospital is awaiting provincial funding to continue planning work including major traffic and heritage studies and more detailed design work among other things. The Ford governments focus on health reform including slashing local health integration networks LHINs and creating a super agency.Hospital officials have long noted that parts of the Civic are nearly 100 years old and that it needs to be replaced to meet modern standards of patient care which include more sunlight and single rooms among other things. the hospital has been working with some of the groups who were among critics of earlier plans to build a new hospital on the Experimental Farm.
