Location Mediterranean Turbine manufacturer Senvion has confirmed it is to supply the turbines for what will be the first offshore windfarm in the Mediterranean.The company has been awarded a contract by Renexia for 10 of its 3.0M122 turbines. They will be installed on monopile foundations in a water depth ranging from 3 m to 18 m.Senvion said it has specially adapted its 3.0M122 wind turbine for the particularly challenging offshore environment and developed a customised installation procedure suitable for the nearshore windfarm.Installation and commissioning will take place in 2019 and Senvion will provide full maintenance services for five years with an extension option of up to 25 years.
