Scope :
The Obunagha Gas Fired Plant is 489MW gas fired power project. It is planned in Bayelsa, Nigeria. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in multiple phases. The project construction is likely to commence in 2029 and is expected to enter into commercial operation in 2030.
The project is being developed and currently owned by Azikel Power. It is a combined cycle gas turbine (ccgt) power plant.
Obunagha Gas Fired Plant (Obunagha Gas Fired Plant Phase I) consists of 2 gas turbines with 38MW nameplate capacity.
Obunagha Gas Fired Plant (Obunagha Gas Fired Plant Phase II) consists of 2 gas turbines with 125MW nameplate capacity.
Obunagha Gas Fired Plant (Obunagha Gas Fired Plant Phase III) consists of 1 steam turbine with 38MW nameplate capacity.
Obunagha Gas Fired Plant (Obunagha Gas Fired Plant Phase III) consists of 1 steam turbine with 125MW nameplate capacity.
The project construction is expected to commence from 2029. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2030.
Contractors Involved
Energoprojekt-Katowice is expected to perform operations and maintenance for thermal power project.
