📋 Tender Overview
Noise In Fluids
Improving Probabilistic Fluid Dynamics To Account For Noisecomplex Fluids Can Follow Random Patterns, Whose Probability Can Be Predicted Using Sophisticated Equations. The Erc-Funded Noisyfluid Project Aims To Further Develop These Equations By Modifying Them To Account For The Presence Of Random Elements, Such As An Additive Or Transport Noise. Researchers Will Describe Noise Near Boundaries Due To Vortex Productions, Enhanced Dissipation, Enhanced Coalescence, As Well As The Propagation Of Additive Noise At A Variety Of Scales. This Will Include Large-Scale Transport Noise And Its Consequences On Eddy Viscosity. One Of The Goals Is Understanding Whether Noise Regularises The Three-Dimensional Navier-Stokes Equations.
