Scope :
Mpanda – Sumbawanga Line is a 400kV overhead line with a length of 119km from Mpanda, Katavi, Tanzania, to Sumbawanga, Rukwa, Tanzania.
The project is expected to be commissioned in 2026.
Mpanda – Sumbawanga Line is an overhead line that will be operated by Tanzania Electric Supply. The line will carry alternating current (AC) through double circuit cable.
Approximately $49.39m was financed by the authorities to undertake the construction works of the project.
Mpanda – Sumbawanga Line project development status
The construction works on the Mpanda – Sumbawanga Line project will be commenced in 2025 and commissioning is expected in 2026.
