The Chihuahua - Pacifico general railway communication line consists of the assets that are part of the rail tracks their respective rights of way as well as the buildings and facilities required for the provision of auxiliary services such as passenger and freight terminals maintenance workshops and supply centers. The line has a total length of 1512.4 km including the Q line Ojinaga-Topolobampo in the states of Chihuahua and Sinaloa 941.3 km and the QA line La Junta-Ciudad Jurez in the state of Chihuahua 571.1 km. The concession of the general communication railway line that corresponds to the short route Ojinaga-Topolobampo as well as the provision of the public freight and passenger service was awarded to the company Ferrocarril Pacfico Norte S.A. de C.V. today Ferrocarril Mexicano S.A. de C.V.
