Scope : To Set up Mobile Components Manufacturing Unit in Belagavi, Karnataka
SFS, a mobile components manufacturer, has expressed its interest in establishing a unit in Belagavi with an investment of Rs 250 crore.
The company has asked the government to provide 30 acres of land for this purpose.
Karnataka minister for large and medium industries MB Patil announced this on June 28 after a meeting with SFS delegates led by Faras Shaw, the company's CFO, to discuss their proposed project.
The minister welcomed the proposal and stated that a decision would be made after a thorough review of the proposal.
The company, known for manufacturing mobile components for companies like Apple, is now keen on setting up another unit in Belagavi. This expansion is expected to create 500 direct job opportunities for technologists in the next three years
