Mendaia Hydro Power Tender

Scope Mendaia is a 2000MW hydro power project. It is planned on AbayNile riverbasin in Ethiopia. The project is currently in announced stage. It will be developed in single phase. The project construction is likely to commence in 2027 and is expected to enter into commercial operation in 2031.DescriptionThe project is currently owned by Ethiopian Electric Power.The gross head and net head of the project will be 117.4m and 109.8m respectively. The project is expected to generate 12100 GWh of electricity. The project cost is expected to be around 2705m.Development Status The project construction is expected to commence from 2027. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2031.
