Project Description and Rationale : Reconstruction and realignment of Lower Base Line from Regional Road 25 to Fourth Line as outlined in the completed Environmental Assessment Study. The 16 Mile Creek bridge structure and approaches were rebuilt and reconstructed in 2012. The planned improvements to Lower Base Line are necessary to address deficient road geometrics and travel demands within the corridor (all modes - vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians). This is a boundary road with the Town of Milton, and project costs will be shared between the two municipalities.
