According to the International Labour Organization (ILO), around 80 percent of the workforce in Mozambique is in informal employment. Women's opportunities to access better-paid employment opportunities are limited and unemployment among young people in cities is 21 percent. The quality of vocational training is low and graduates receive no government support in finding and taking up employment.
