Scope :
Kigoma – Mpanda Line is a 400kV overhead line with a length of 290km from Kigoma Town, Kigoma, Tanzania, to Mpanda, Katavi, Tanzania.
The project is expected to be commissioned in 2026. Kigoma – Mpanda Line is an overhead line that will be operated by Tanzania Electric Supply. The line will carry alternating current (AC) through double circuit cable.
Approximately $120.35m was financed by the authorities to undertake the construction works of the project.
Kigoma – Mpanda Line project development status
The construction works on the Kigoma – Mpanda Line project will be commenced in 2025 and commissioning is expected in 2026.
